Small cell lung cancer urgently requires targeted therapy because current medicines have unsatisfactory efficacy. Non-small cell lung cancer has different molecular subtypes, with unknown/non-oncogene driven proportion taken about 50% percent, for whom huge unmet medical needs still exist. BCL-XL PROTAC could be a new problem-solver for patients with solid or liquid tumor to bring better disease-free survival benefits.
This ASSET can also be developed for ophthalmology indications and could be a potentially better option to provide less frequent therapy of longer lasting efficacy for the treatment of age-related diseases of the eye including DEM and DR, potentially only requires once-a-year injection, while anti-VEGF needs every 4~16-week injections.
